Every word, every phrase in the lyrics I write comes with a memory, an image, a sensation.
“Look through here” is the divination that paints the portrait of what stands on the other side of my fears.
“It’s not what it seems” is an impression: The most I feared has never happened. The worst I feared has always been the fire that made pure gold.
“Have no fear” means fear is not for me to have and to hold. It is to be recognized (felt) - with its attendant shallow breath, tense muscles and racing heart - as the harbinger of my spring.
